According to the Panchang, this time the Amavasya Tithi of Chaitra month will start from 08:25 am on Wednesday, March 18, which will continue till 06:53 am on Thursday, March 19. Since Amavasya Tithi will last throughout the day on March 18, the festival of Bhootadi Amavasya will be celebrated on the same day. Why is Bhutri Amavasya special?

On Bhutri Amavasya, a fair is held at a place called Dharaji on the banks of Narmata in Madhya Pradesh. Lakhs of people come here to take bath on this day.
