Actress Bhumi Pednekar recently visited the revered Srivari Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, accompanied by her family, to offer prayers.
The ‘Badhaai Do’ actress sought the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, a deity deeply venerated by millions across India, and other resident deities. Following her darshan, Bhumi received the temple’s sacred Tirtha Prasad, a customary offering.
For her spiritual journey, Pednekar chose a simple yet elegant saree, paired with a shawl, reflecting the traditional attire often worn by devotees at the temple. She kept her hair open and accessorized minimally with bangles, opting for subtle makeup. The actress was seen with her hands respectfully folded in prayer, a gesture familiar to countless pilgrims who visit this ancient shrine annually. The Srivari Temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, stands as one of India’s most significant pilgrimage sites, drawing devotees from all corners of the country throughout the year.
On the professional front, Bhumi Pednekar is gearing up for a significant role, portraying the warrior queen Belawadi Mallamma in the upcoming historical film ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’. This ambitious project, directed and backed by Sandeep Singh, will feature Rishab Shetty in the lead role, with Arjun Rampal and Vivek Oberoi also in key roles. The first installment of this historical epic is slated for release on January 21, 2027. Pednekar was last seen in the romantic comedy ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ and the Netflix web series ‘The Royals’.
