Bhool Bhulaiyaa is one of the most successful franchises in Bollywood. While the first part was headlined by Akshay Kumar, the second and third installments featured Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. Both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 emerged as massive hits. The threequel, in particular, won the box office clash against the multistarrer Singham Again.
The fourth installment is currently in development, and according to a report by Pinkvilla, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 will commence in the second half of 2027. The writing team is currently said to be developing the script. However, the director hasn’t been locked yet, the report states.
Anees Bazmee directed the second and third installments, but it appears that he won’t be helming the upcoming film in the franchise. Currently, Anees Bazmee is directing Akshay Kumar’s next, which is being produced by Dil Raju. It remains to be seen who will direct Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4. The movie will be backed by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.
