Ujjain Mahakal Temple.
These days Mahashivratri festival is in full swing in the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. Mahashivratri festival is being celebrated with great pomp in the temple for the last 10 days. Darshan of Baba Mahakal continues continuously for 44 hours. Till now lakhs of devotees have visited Baba Mahakal and received his blessings. Bhasma Aarti of Baba Mahakal was not performed this morning in Mahakaleshwar temple. There will be Bhasma Aarti, but at 12 noon.
Baba Mahakal has been decorated as a groom with an 11 feet flower crown. Today i.e. Monday, the devotees who had darshan of Baba Mahakal were seen with amazing adornment. Giving information about Sehra Darshan, priest of Mahakal temple, Pandit Mahesh Sharma said that Sehra is decorated to Baba Mahakal on Mahashivratri. Before this, special worship of Baba Mahakal is done and four Prahars are worshipped.
During this puja, along with the Mahabhishek of Baba, seven grains are also offered to him which include rice, moong, sesame, lentils, wheat as well as urad and other grains. Told that in this Sehra offered to Baba Mahakal, along with flowers, Baba Mahakal is also adorned with gold and silver jewellery. After darshan this Sehra is also looted. It is believed that this material offered to Baba Mahakal increases wealth and maintains peace in the family.

Devotees said- became blessed after having darshan
When the devotees who had come to see Baba Mahakal today saw him in his Sehara form, they became giddy. He said that we have never had such darshan before. Sehra adornment of Baba Mahakal is done only once in a year, in which after worshiping Baba Mahakal with Saptadhanya, an 11 feet support is decorated. Along with taking advantage of these darshan, the devotees also chanted Jai Shri Mahakal.
Bhasma Aarti will be held in the afternoon, not in the morning.
Actually, ashes are offered to Baba Mahakal, the Kaal of Kaal, every morning at 4 o’clock after worship and adornment. But one day after Mahashivratri i.e. today, there is a day when the Bhasma Aarti of Baba Mahakal is performed not at 4 in the morning but at 12 noon. This puja will start at 12 noon today, after which ashes will be offered to Baba. Although lakhs of devotees will reach the temple to watch this Aarti, but due to limited space in Nandi Hall, Kartik Mandapam and Ganesh Mandapam, common devotees will not be allowed to sit here. The ongoing arrangements will definitely continue during Bhasma Aarti so that common devotees will definitely be able to take the benefits of this darshan.
