Bharti Airtel, the leading telecom sector company in the country, released its second quarter results on Monday, in which the company has made bumper profits. Airtel’s consolidated net profit increased by 89% to Rs 6,792 crore, compared to Rs 3,593 crore in the same quarter last year. The profit after tax has gone to the accounts of the owners of the parent company. The company’s operating revenue in this quarter was Rs 52,145 crore, which is 26% more than Rs 41,473 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.
Airtel’s mobile average revenue per user increased to Rs 256 from Rs 233 in Q2FY25. According to the information given by the company to the exchanges, the total customer base in 15 countries is 62.4 crores. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and EBITDA in the quarter under review stood at Rs 29,919 crore, which is 36% higher than last year, while EBITDA margin was recorded at 57.4%. EBITDAaL stood at Rs 26,600 crore, which is 42% higher than last year, while EBITDAaL margin was recorded at 51%.

By the end of September quarter the customer base was 45 crores. Domestic revenue stood at Rs 38,690 crore, which is 22.6% more than last year, while EBITDA stood at Rs 23,204 crore, which is 34.2% more than last year. EBITDA margin was 60%. The company’s capex for the quarter stood at Rs 9,643 crore.

As of September 30, 2025, the customer base was 17.4 crores. Revenue in constant currency increased by 24.2% compared to the previous year. Constant currency EBITDA margin stood at 48.8%, an increase of 238 basis points over last year, while EBIT margin stood at 32.3%, an increase of 190 basis points over last year. Capex for the quarter stood at Rs 1,719 crore. Said in the company’s filing. We further strengthened our position in the postpaid segment with a net addition of 0.95 million customers quarter on quarter, taking our total customer base to 2.75 crore. Smartphone data customers have increased by 2.22 crore in the last 12 months, which represents an increase of 8.4% compared to the previous year.
During the quarter, Airtel added 2,479 towers and 20,841 mobile broadband base stations. In the last 12 months, 12,796 new towers were installed and 44,104 km fiber network was laid. Holmes business recorded revenue growth of 30.2% year-on-year, which was possible due to the increasing number of customers. During the quarter, the company added 951,000 customers, taking its total customer base to 11.9 million. Bharti Airtel also partnered with Perplexity to offer 12 months of Perplexity Pro subscription free of cost to all its mobile, home and digital TV customers.
