Better Than Ranbir Kapoor? Internet Reacts To AI Version Of Sushant Singh Rajput As Lord Rama In ‘Ramayana’

Mumbai: After the teaser release of ‘Ramayana’, some AI-generated images imagined Sushant Singh Rajput as Lord Rama instead of Ranbir Kapoor, and many social media users felt the late actor looked better in the role.

Sharing the AI images of Sushant, a Reddit user captioned it, “He would have been better.”

The pictures showed Sushant in two scenes, one in royal clothes in Ayodhya and another during exile, sitting on a boat. These scenes were originally from the teaser featuring Ranbir.

Many users agreed, saying Sushant had a calm and kind look that suited Lord Rama, while some others disagreed and said even Sushant did not match the expected look of the character.

One user wrote, “He always had kind eyes and calming aura, I gu
ess that’s what Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram had, so yes, you are right, he would have fit like a glove.”

Another agreed: “100%. He has both calmness and fierceness in his face.”

One person commented, “He would have been the best Rama. The best. All those feelings when he died came back seeing this post. Hope he is at peace.”

But another user disagreed. “I agree he would’ve been better, but the last slide defeats your argument considering Sushant wasn’t dark brown either.”

Sushant passed away in June 2020 at the age of 34 at his Mumbai residence.

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being made on a huge budget of around Rs 4000 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever.

Apart from Ranbir, the film also stars Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.

The first part of the film will be released in October, and the second part is expected in 2027.
