New Delhi: A simple auto ride in Bengaluru turned into a touching moment after a woman rider shared her experience of riding in the vehicle during a heavy downpour. She said that she was really impressed with the honesty and caring nature of the driver and decided to thank him with a very special gesture. Priyanka, a resident of Bengaluru had booked the auto to travel from JP Nagar to Koramangala.
She shared her experience of riding in the auto on social media platform, Instagram.

In the video that Priyanka posted on her Instagram handle, she said that she had booked the auto when the weather was clear but as they proceeded, it started raining. The rain was initially light but it turned heavy in no time.
The woman recalled that the auto did not have any protective covers. In no time, both she and the driver were completely drenched in the rain. The woman however said that throughout the journey, the driver kept checking on her. He looked concerned about her getting wet.

The woman however said that she was not worried, as she was on her way home. She said that she would go and change. She then asked the driver whether he was feeling cold. His reply came in the affirmative, but with a smile. He continued to drive the auto.
Once they reached the destination, the woman asked the driver, what he would do now, as it was still raining and he was completely wet. He said that he had nowhere to go as of now and that his house was also Banashankari.
The woman was most touched when the driver told her that had he been alone, without a passenger he would have stopped by the roadside and waited for the rains to stop. But since he had already accepted the ride, he would drop his passenger, (that’s Priyanka) at her destination.

After she reached her destination, Priyanka asked the driver to wait. She went to her house and came back with aT-shirt for him. Upon receiving the gift, there was a smile on the driver’s face.
The driver was completely wet and it was clear that he badly needed to change clothes. With the gesture, the woman won not only his heart, but also received praises from several people online.
In her Instagram post, Priyanka said that she was not posting the video to gather followers or for appreciation. She said that sometimes even small gestures can bring a lot of happiness. She added that she was thankful to have gotten the opportunity to help someone.
Her post went viral in no time. Netizens reacted with positivity. They praised her for her thoughtful act. One user wrote, “I love it when humans are kind.” Another said, “You got a good auto anna.”
