Bengaluru: A routine bus ride in Bengaluru spiralled into violence when a passenger claimed he was slapped and abused by a conductor during a dispute over ticketing on a Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) service.

The incident occurred on bus KA 57 F-4029, operating between Devanahalli and Majestic. Slapped despite paying penalty: Passenger

Despite explaining that the conductor had failed to give him a ticket, Hriday said he was still made to pay the penalty. Matters escalated when the conductor allegedly slapped him across the face and hurled abuse.

Taking to social media to share his ordeal, Hriday posted: “My Horrific Experience on BMTC Bus – Please Help Me Get Justice. Today on BMTC bus KA 57 F-4029, I paid a ₹420 penalty, yet the conductor slapped me hard across the face & abused me. I have video proof. No passenger deserves this. Please help me get justice.” He posted the message on his account, @hridaymusic111, alongside video clips and photographs of the confrontation.

BMC yet to address the issue

The footage shows a heated clash between the conductor and the passenger, with the conductor appearing to threaten him further. The video has begun circulating online, drawing attention to the incident and fuelling calls for accountability.

As of now, BMTC has not issued an official response to the allegations.
