This girl, who has been living alone in Bengaluru for a year, has shared the account of her monthly expenses. He has shared his experiences on the social media platform Reddit.
The girl shared the complete account of her monthly expenses on social media. She told that she lives in a 1BHK apartment with one of her friends. The total house rent is Rs 13,000, of which his share is Rs 7,000. She also clarified that she uses the bedroom while her friend lives in the hall. She further said that the biggest difference in everyone’s budget comes from accommodation and choosing the right rental house can significantly reduce the monthly expenses.
The girl told that the biggest part of her expenses goes on food. She also told about her daily diet: four idlis for breakfast cost Rs 62, lunch costs around Rs 100 and dinner costs an average of Rs 200. Apart from this, she also eats 248 rupees of recession 5 to 7 times a month. Based on these figures, he estimates that around Rs 10,800 is spent on food per month.
The scooter costs around Rs 1,000 a month on petrol and commuting. Additionally, she sets aside around Rs 4,000 to visit her home in Kerala at least twice a month. Adding all this together, the girl revealed that her total monthly expenditure is just around Rs 27,300.
The girl tells that the cost of living in Bengaluru varies greatly from region to region. His friends, who live just 3 kilometers away, spend around Rs 45,000 a month. The main reason for this is that the rent of a 1BHK apartment there is around Rs 26,000. The girl believes that even though the job and transportation facilities are the same, lifestyle choices are the reason for this huge difference in expenses. The girl also jokingly gave a tip to save money: ‘Sleep till 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday’. She jokingly says that by doing this, money for breakfast can be saved on those days.
