BEL secures orders worth ₹1,081 crore; shares end flat

Shares of India’s leading defence player, Bharat Electronics Ltd will remain in focus on Tuesday as company announced new order wins since in nearly a month’s period.

The shares closed flat at ₹426.4 apiece on the NSE.

In the regula trading session, the share price made an intraday high of ₹432.7 apiece and intraday low of ₹426.1 apice on the NSE. The shares have 8.3% returns in 2026 on a YTD basis. Meanwhile, for the last twelve months, the shares are currently trading in positive with 5.5% gains.

The company said in the exchange filing that, Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), has secured additional orders worth ₹1081 Crore since the last disclosure on 25th May 2026. Major orders received include communication equipment, radars, CBRN protection system, seekers, avionics, upgrades, spares, services.

Earlier in May, the company secured additional orders worth ₹608 crore. Major orders received include communication equipment, avionics, information fusion centre, coastal surveillance radar system, seekers, jammers, tank sub systems, laser based fuzes, simulators, medical electronics, batteries, spares, services etc.

According to company’s latest conference call, their total order book as of 31st March 2026 stood at ₹73,882 crore with new order win worth ₹30,045 crore acquire during the entire FY26. During FY26, the revenue jumped 16% YoY to ₹27,480 crore as compared to ₹23658 crore in FY25. At the operational level, the EBITDA margin expanded by ~200 bps to 30% for FY26 as compared to 28% in the previous year.

Similarly, the profit after tax for the quarter jumped 14% YoY to ₹6,048 crore as compared to ₹5,288 crore in FY25.
