A case of rape of an 11th class student, blackmail by making a video and pressurizing for religious conversion has come to light in Bhopal. Two accused have been arrested. Police have seized four vehicles and formed a SIT and further investigation is underway.
Bhopal. A serious case of rape, blackmail and pressurizing a class 11 student for forced religious conversion has come to light in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Police have arrested two accused in this case and started investigation. According to the police, the student studies in a private school in Shahpura area. He was introduced to a person named Ausaf Ali Khan through a friend.
Rape by taking someone to a secluded place on the pretext of friendship
Investigation revealed that after the conversation escalated, Ausaf Ali Khan asked the student to go on a long drive. He took her to an isolated area in Khanugaon, where she was raped inside the car. Police say that this incident was planned in advance.
Blackmail by making video, demand of Rs 1 lakh
According to the police, Ausaf’s associate Maaz Khan, who is a gym operator, was hiding outside the car and making a video of the incident. After this, both the accused blackmailed the student through video. They allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh and threatened to make the video viral. According to officials, the scared student somehow managed to pay Rs 40,000, but despite this the accused continued the exploitation and pressure.
Pressure to convert, if refused then shared video
Police said that the accused assaulted the student in four different cars. These included two sedans and one Mahindra Thar. All the vehicles concerned have been seized. When the student stopped communicating with the accused and blocked them, Ausaf allegedly sent the video to her friends. According to the police, after this the student was also pressurized to accept Islam and offer Namaz. Ultimately the student told the entire incident to her family. After this, a complaint was lodged with the police with the help of Hindu organizations.
SIT formed, detailed investigation underway
A senior officer said that both the accused have been arrested. Considering the seriousness of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed. This team led by the Assistant Police Commissioner will also investigate whether the accused had also targeted any other woman. Information about Ausaf being beaten by lawyers during his appearance in Bhopal’s Special Court has also come to light. Police have said that the matter is being investigated impartially and thoroughly.
