BCCI writes letter to ACC: Now a new update has come out on the controversy of not handing over the Asia Cup 2025 title to Team India. It is reported that BCCI has written a letter to Asian Cricket Council Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in this matter and warned him. BCCI has said in its letter that if Mohsin Naqvi does not hand over the Asia Cup trophy to India, then he will have to suffer the consequences.
BCCI will take action if Naqvi does not respond
In a special conversation with India Today, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said that if Mohsin Naqvi does not give any positive answer on the trophy issue, then BCCI will take step by step action.
India won the Asia Cup by defeating Pakistan
Team India won the title of Asia Cup 2025 by defeating Pakistan in the final match played on 28 September. India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final. However, after that, in the match presentation, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav refused to accept the trophy from PCB and ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The result was that Mohsin Naqvi went away with the Asia Cup trophy.
India-Pakistan clash 3 times in Asia Cup 2025
The victory in the final was India’s third win against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Before this, Team India had defeated Pakistan for the first time in the group stage match on 14 September. After that first match, the Indian players did not shake hands with the Pakistani players, due to which there was an uproar.
The second clash between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 took place at the Super Four stage. This match was played on 21 November, and India defeated Pakistan in this also. These three matches were played at the International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
India has been the most successful team in the history of Asia Cup. He has won this title 9 times so far. Whereas Pakistan team has won the title only twice. Sri Lanka is the second most successful team in the Asia Cup.
