Bcci: The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI and Bangladesh Cricket Board i.e. BCB have decided to adjourn India’s tour of Bangladesh from August 2025 and organized in September 2026.
The tour has now become even more important for India’s limited -overs team, as many emerging stars are expected to get a chance, while some experienced players are also considered to be sure.
Shubman Gill can do captaincy
Tell me that three -match ODI series and three T20 matches will be played between India and Bangladesh on this tour. Currently, the BCCI has officially prepared a potential 15 -member squad for the ODI series, whose captaincy can be handed over to young and trusted batsman Shubman Gill. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the continuous performance and leadership capacity of Gill.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi can also be part of the team
This time BCCI is in favor of giving such players a chance in domestic cricket and IPL. Among them, 17 -year -old Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s name is at the top. Vaibhav Suryavanshi recently scored a sensation by scoring a century in just 52 balls on the under-19 England tour. His 78 balls have brought him close to Team India’s ODI Squad, including 10 sixes and 13 fours in 78 balls. Also, his aggressive game for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 was in the headlines.
Everyone’s eyes are also on Priyansh Arya
On the other hand, Priyansh Arya has caught the attention of the selectors by performing well in the Delhi Premier League and Domestic Tournaments such as Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made it clear that he is ready for ODI format not only T20, not only T20, while playing an explosive innings of 102 runs against UP.
Importance of tour
Tell me that this tour will not only be a bilateral chain between India-Bangladesh but will be a golden opportunity for the future to check the bench strength of the Indian team. The BCCI is looking at the tour with the preparations for the upcoming ICC tournaments, where the role of young players can be decisive.
In such a situation, the entry of new faces like Shubman Gill’s captaincy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya and support of experienced players – this tour is definitely a sign of Team India’s new thinking and direction. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how this young brigade performs in September 2026 when India will land on Bangladesh.
List of Possible 16 players:
Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Akshar Patel (Vice -captain), Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Arshdeep Singh, Khalil Ahmed, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarti, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dubey and Vashington Sundar
Note: The BCCI has not announced Team India’s squad for the tour of Bangladesh. But there is a lot of potential that the board can announce a similar team.
