The Board of Control for Cricket in India has extended the tenure of Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar, now he will continue in office till June 2026. Contract renewed before IPL 2025

Like all retiring players, BCCI also gives pension to former fast bowler Ajit Agarkar. Ajit Agarkar has played 4 T20 matches for the Indian cricket team with 26 Tests and 191 ODIs, due to which he has been kept in Tier 1 category of retirement pension and he gets a pension of 70 thousand rupees every month from BCCI.

Ajit Agarkar was selected as a fast bowler in the Indian cricket team, but he used to play in the role of an all -rounder for Maharashtra. Due to this, he has a record of fastest half -century as Indian batsman in the ODI international match, he scored a half -century against Zimbabwe on 21 balls. Also, Agarkar has completed the fastest 50 wickets in ODIs for India. He did this feat in 23 matches.
