7 rules of BCCI for IPL 2026
The first rule of BCCI is related to the practice and training of the team. No IPL team will be allowed to practice or train on the day of its match.
For IPL 2026, BCCI has made another law related to the team’s practice matches. No team will be allowed to play more than 2 practice matches. Before playing a practice match, they will have to take permission from BCCI, apart from that they will also have to take care that no match should last more than 3 and a half hours.
The third rule made by BCCI is related to the practice nets of the team. No team will share practice nets. Every team will get new nets for practice. One team will not be allowed to use the other team’s nets, even if they are empty.
Training or practice will not be allowed 4 days in advance on the pitch on which any home team will play its first match. Teams will be given separate wickets for range hitting, throw down, run-up and drills.
The home team will be allowed to practice first. If teams practice right after each other, they will be provided with a freshly prepared pitch each time.
A rule of BCCI for IPL 2026 is also related to the family and friends of the players. Family and friends will not be allowed to travel with the players. Whenever players go for practice or a match, they will have to travel in the team bus only.
BCCI has banned players and support staff from sitting near the LEB board installed on the field during IPL 2026.
