India defeated Pakistan twice in the Asia Cup 2025, once in the Group stage by 7 wickets, and the latest one coming in the Super Four stage by 6 wickets.
Even though India won the Super Four game, it was shrouded in controversy, especially die to the Pakistan players. Sahibzada Farhan, after scoring his fifty, held his bat like an assault rifle and aimed to fire a shot. On the other hand, Rauf mocked the Indian fans with a downed jet plane gesture, hinting at Pakistan’s proved false claim of downing Indian jets during Operation Sindoor. This provoked a lot of fans, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stepping in now.
According to a report by Dainik Jagran, complaints have been filed against Pakistan regarding the actions of Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan. The names of both these Pakistan stars have been mentioned in the report. The apex Indian body have requested Andy Pycroft to attend to this matter.
Abhishek Sharma Guided India To Big Win Vs Pakistan
In the Super Four match, Pakistan got off to a great start vs India and were 91-1 in 10 overs. They, however, could not get the big finish after the fall of Saibzada Farhan, who slammed a half-century. The Indian bowlers were brilliant in the second half and didn’t allow Pakistan to fetch easy runs. Pakistan could have scored less than 160, but an eight-ball 20 by Faheem Ashraf helped them cross the 170-run mark.
Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill got the team off to a great start and added 105 runs for the first wicket. Shubman Gill missed out on a fifty but Abhishek punished Pakistan bowlers en route to a brilliant 74. Despite losing a couple of wickets in the middle overs, India steered home safely courtesy a late flourish from Tilak Varma. They thus won by six wickets with seven balls to spare.
