BCCI, BCB mutually agree to postpone India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh to September

New Delhi: India’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh has been postponed from August 2025 to September 2026 after a mutual agreement between the two cricketing boards. There were reports that the tour might be called off entirely due to the ongoing security situation and political unrest in Bangladesh. However, BCCI and BCB have decided to defer it to next year.

The BCCI on Saturday announced that it has mutually agreed to postpone the white-ball series from August 2025 to September next year. India are scheduled to play three ODIs and as many T20Is in the white-ball series. The matches were scheduled to be played from August 17 to 31 in Chittagong and Dhaka this year.

“This decision has been reached following discussions between the two Boards, taking into account the international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience of both teams,” BCCI said in a release.
