The BCCI Women’s Selection Committee on Thursday revealed the India A squads for the upcoming home series against Australia A Women.
The multi-format tour will feature three T20 matches, three 50-over One-Day encounters, and a red-ball Multi-Day fixture.
The tour gets underway in New Chandigarh with the T20 portion of the series, with games scheduled for September 12, September 15, and September 17. Following the T20 leg, both teams will travel to the PCA Stadium in Mohali to compete in the One-Day series, with matches held on September 20, September 23, and September 25. The bilateral assignment will conclude in Dharamshala with a four-day Multi-Day match taking place from September 29 to October 2.
Captaincy duties and complete squad breakdown
Anushka Sharma has been named captain of the India A T20 squad, supported by Wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia will take charge as captain for both the One-Day and Multi-Day formats, with Anushka Sharma acting as her deputy across both squads. The selection blends established domestic performers with promising young talent across all three squads, providing valuable international exposure against a strong Australian side.
Yastika Bhatia will also captain the India A side for the Multi-Day fixture, with Anushka Sharma serving as deputy. The squad includes Shubha Satheesh, Priya Punia, Tanisha Singh, Tejal Hasabnis, Sayali Satghare, Jintimani Kalita and Shabnam Shakeel.
India A women’s team will hope to get a good run in against the favourites, Australia women’s A.
