The convocation took place at Barkatullah University in Bhopal. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presented degrees and gold medals to the students. The new education policy, Indian tradition and digital evaluation were emphasized.
Bhopal. Governor and Chancellor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that students should always be grateful to the contribution of their parents and teachers. Keep their respect even after getting success. Remember the oath taken at the convocation daily and follow it throughout his life. He said that universities have an important role in fulfilling Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of “new, digital and developed India”. Convocation is not only an opportunity to get degrees, but it is the result of students’s hard work, discipline and guidance of teachers. It is also the beginning of the service journey of society and nation. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the convocation of Barkatullah University in Bhopal on Monday.
The ceremony was started by Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav by lighting a lamp in the Kushabhau Thackeray auditorium and offering flowers at the statue of Maa Saraswati. The university’s souvenir and book were also inaugurated on the occasion. The Shobha Yatra of the university led by the Governor and the Chief Minister entered the auditorium amid the chanting of the Shobha Yatra. Vice -Chancellor Suresh Kumar Jain welcomed the governor by offering plant, organ and memento. Vice -Chancellor Shri Jain gave convocation to the students and administered the oath.
Students’ faces shone with joy after getting degree and gold medal
Governor Shri Patel said that the National Education Policy is providing opportunities at all levels of studies according to their capacity, interest and skills. Today, new career possibilities have increased in areas such as agriculture, food processing, physical education, cyber security, forensic science, drone technology and method. He urged the youth to use their knowledge and skills in the development of society and nation. The Governor presented degrees and gold medals to the students at the ceremony and congratulated them. He wished the university on getting “A” grade from NAC for better efforts in education, research and innovation and getting a place in the Global World University rankings.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s address
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indians are making identity in the world with their talent. Now the convocation is being organized according to Indian tradition. The first new education policy was implemented in the state in 2020. He said that Prime Minister Modi is emphasizing on the study of all languages. The languages of every state of India are our national language. Madhya Pradesh government has started medical studies in Hindi, which is being highly appreciated. He said that education is not only a means of getting jobs, but a means of spreading knowledge in society. In the state, the Vice Chancellor has now been given the new noun of Kulguru, which has also been adopted by Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi. In the universities here, employment -oriented courses like agriculture and fashion designing are being taught in innovations.
The Chief Minister said that 54 thousand students have got graduates, 23 thousand postgraduates, 190 PhD degrees and 21 students have got gold medals through Barkatullah University. Overall, the dreams of 78 thousand students have been fulfilled. He congratulated all the students and teachers. The Chief Minister said that the government is giving full support to universities and private colleges in opening medical colleges and hospitals. The medical college is going to open in collaboration with Devi Ahilyabai University Indore in Jhabua district. He said that today there is a new wind of good governance in the country. The government is working for the welfare of all sections of youth, farmers and poor. Prime Minister Modi is the protector of the honor of the country and the interests of every class. He expressed confidence that the 21st century will be from India and India will become the third largest economy in the world.
Minister Mr. Parmar’s address
Technical and Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar said that today the students have achieved historical success. We should try to repay the loan of society and family throughout their lives. Now the convocation is being organized in the country as per Indian tradition. He informed that when Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was the Minister of Higher Education, then the new education policy was first implemented in the state. The state government is now going to start digital evaluation in all universities. Their answer sheets will be made available online to the students. Along with this, one or two languages will be started in all universities. He said that Madhya Pradesh is a heart state and the work of connecting languages will start here.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh Kumar Jain’s message
Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh Kumar Jain administered the oath to the students and said- do not forget his university and city where he goes. Always walk on the path of truth and religion and keep doing self -study. Put your energy in the society and the welfare of the country. In the convocation ceremony, students were awarded the degree of D. Lit, PhD and Post Graduate. Along with this, gold medals were also given to the students who got the highest marks in various faculties.
