Apart from this, there are five Sundays in the month, on which banks have weekly holidays. These dates are- 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November.

In this, when we include regional holidays like Guru Nanak Jayanti on 5th November and 1st November, this figure reaches 9 to 10 days. Therefore, it is important that you plan your holidays according to your city.

RBI rules make it clear that in such a situation your work or transaction is completed on the next working day. No major financial settlements take place on holidays.

But, there is no need to panic during these holidays, because most of the modern banking facilities will remain working 24 hours. You can use mobile banking, net banking and ATM without any interruption. All digital services like UPI, transferring money through NEFT and IMPS, paying bills etc will remain fully operational.
