In 2020, the big contest in Bankipur was between BJP and Congress.

  • Luv Sinha (INC)-44,032 votes

  • Pushpam Priya of Plurals Party got only 5,189 votes.

Important thing: Luv Sinha, the star candidate of Congress and son of actor Shatrughan Sinha, also contested this election, but Nitin Naveen defeated him easily.
