This week will be given a holiday for so many days
The Reserve Bank of India has released the list of bank holidays. According to this, some banks will be closed from September 29 to October 5. But these holidays will not apply to all banks across the country. Holidays in different states and cities can change according to local festivals and opportunities. There are many big festivals in October 2025, such as Mahanavami, Dussehra, Diwali, Bhai Dooj and Chhath Puja. Due to these festivals, there will be many public bank holidays. Apart from this, there will also be a bank holiday at the national level on 2 October 2025. However, these holidays will vary in every state and city, as some holidays depend on local festivals.

Banks will remain closed for so many days
Monday, September 29: Banks will be closed on the occasion of Durga Puja Mahashathi in Agartala, Kolkata and Guwahati.
Tuesday, September 30: Banks will remain closed due to Mahashtami in many cities including Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.
Wednesday, October 1: Agartala, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Itanagar, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong and Trivandrum will be closed due to Mahanavami, Dussehra and Vijayadashami in Trivandrum.
Thursday, October 2: Banks will be closed across the country on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
Friday and Saturday, 3-4 October: Banks will remain closed due to Durga Puja in Gangtok.
Sunday, October 5: Banks will remain closed due to weekly holidays across the country.
