Bangladesh Violence: The ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh is not stopping. At 3:45 am on Monday, a mob of Islamic fundamentalists set fire to the houses of two Hindu families in West Sultanpur village of Chittagong district. During this time the mob had closed the doors of the victims from outside. In the incident, 7 rooms of both the houses were completely burnt. Both these houses belonged to Sukha Shil and Anil Shil.

According to reports, around 8 people were present in both the houses at the time of the incident. When everyone went to sleep after having dinner, the Islamic extremists opened fire. In the chaos that followed the fire, when the family members thought of coming out, they realized that the doors were locked from outside. To save their lives, people somehow came out by cutting bamboo and tin sheets and saved themselves safely. Anil Shil’s household items and 90 thousand taka (Bangladeshi currency) cash were burnt in the fire. Apart from this, his passport has also been burnt.

Islamic fundamentalists burnt a 7 year old girl alive

Earlier, late on the night of 19 December in Lakshmipur, Bangladesh, Islamic fundamentalists had locked the house of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Bilal Hossain from outside and set it on fire. His 7-year-old daughter Ayesha Akhtar died after being burnt alive in the fire. At the same time, two more daughters, 16-year-old Salma Akhtar and 14-year-old Samia Akhtar, were seriously burnt.

Even in Bangladesh, Hindu houses were targeted before.

A few days ago, similar Hindu houses were set on fire in Dheyupara village of Chittagong and before that in Kutiya Baruipara village also. On December 18, 27-year-old Dipu Chandra Das, a resident of Mymensingh, was first beaten to death by an Islamic mob on charges of blasphemy, later his body was stripped naked and set on fire by a tree. Let us tell you that Deepu was falsely accused of blasphemy by some people working with him in the factory. The investigation found no evidence that Das had said or posted anything that hurt anyone’s sentiments.
