The mob set the entire family on fire

According to reports in Daily Star and Dhaka Tribune, the BNP leader’s house in Lakshmipur was set on fire on Saturday morning. The incident took place late on Saturday night when the BNP leader’s entire family was inside the house and the protesters opened fire from outside. The newspaper quoted Mohammad Wahid Parvez, officer-in-charge of Lakshmipur Sadar Model Police Station, as saying that in this incident, Bilal Hussain’s 7-year-old daughter Ayesha Akhtar died in the fire.

7 year old Ayesha burnt alive, condition of two daughters critical

Meanwhile, Dhaka Tribune quoted Rajit Kumar of Lakshmipur Fire Service as saying that the body of a child has been found, while three people have been rescued in badly burnt condition. Bilala and her two other daughters, 16-year-old Salma Akhtar and 14-year-old Samia Akhtar, suffered burn injuries. Both were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors described their condition as critical.

The crowd had closed the windows and doors from outside

Bilal’s mother confirmed the attack and said that the mob locked the door of the house from outside and poured petrol and set it on fire. Let us tell you that earlier the fundamentalist mob had also set on fire the offices of two major newspapers of Bangladesh, Daily Star and Prothom Alo. During this time, most of the staff was present inside the office and the mob opened fire from outside. However, there were no casualties in the incident and the administration rescued people in time.

Osman Hadi buried in Dhaka

Student leader Sharif Osman Hadi was buried in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon, where his prayers were attended by a huge crowd.
