The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have agreed between themselves to postpone the white-ball series, three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals, between India and Bangladesh in August 2025 to September 2026.
The two Boards have come to this agreement after holding talks between them, considering the international cricketing commitments and convenience of scheduling for both teams.
The BCB eagerly awaits the visit of India in September 2026 for this much-awaited series. The revised dates and fixtures of the tour will be released in due course. And all the other updates about the occurrence of the white-ball bilateral series before the significant Asia Cup is still pending confirmation by either of the governing boards.

Talking of the next Asia Cup, high chances were that the multi-nation continental tournament will not be staged without the participation of the Indian team, following the growing political hostilities of their national government with Pakistan. However, various media outlets have confirmed that although the tournament might go ahead as initially scheduled, India and Pakistan might decline to play against one another for geopolitical reasons from the governments of either nation.
India, the title-holders of the tournament that was previously conducted in 2023, will come in as favourites again. Interestingly, next season of the big-ticket event will be organized in the 20-over format in consideration of the forthcoming T20 World Cup in 2026, which is scheduled to take place in India and Sri Lanka. India and Pakistan have been in a state of silence on the matter, and have been bent on following the respective governmental orders.
