Coldrif Cough Syrup Banned: The central government has issued a warning after the death of children from drinking cuff syrup in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. After this, many states have increased vigilance. After Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Kerala have banned the use of cold cuff syrup. Its sale is completely banned in Jharkhand, while drug stores are being raided in Uttarakhand. Punjab, Bengal and Chhattisgarh have also been instructed to be careful.
Ban in these states
All the products of the syrup making company in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have been banned. Srisan Company makes cuff syrup at Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. When the Tamil Nadu government examined the samples of the company, the SR-13 batch found a lot of harmful chemical substance Dythylene glyel. After this, Tamil Nadu immediately stopped this medicine and other states also became alert. The Rajasthan government banned all 19 products of the Jaipur company that makes a cough medicine. These medicines were given free in government hospitals. However, Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khivansar said that no child died of these drugs.

Uttarakhand: Raids on drug stores.
Punjab: Instructions not to give company and batch medicine.

Jharkhand: Orders to stop selling to all shopkeepers, appeal to people to return the medicines present with them.
Himachal Pradesh: Temporary restriction on the production of Nexa DS Kapha syrup, bring back supply and sample inquiry.
The Drug Department has temporarily banned the production of Nexa DS Cuff Serp to be built in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Also, orders have been given to bring back the supply sent to Madhya Pradesh and other states. The lot and batch of the supplied syrup are also being investigated. On Saturday, samples were taken from five companies making ‘Nexa DS’ in Baddi and sent to the laboratory for examination.
