Uttarakhand Film Policy: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the poster of the film ‘Bahalya Kaka’. Under the new film policy of the state government, film production is being promoted, subsidy on shooting and encouragement to local artists.

Taking forward this thinking, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami released the poster of Uttarakhand’s background based on the background of Uttarakhand at the Secretariat on Monday.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister, while wishing the entire team of the film, said that this film will not only be a means of entertainment, but will also bring the culture and rural life of the state to the audience. The film stars Bollywood actor Hemant Pandey. It has been shot in picturesque and remote villages of Uttarakhand like Gwaladam, Tharali, Talwadi.
Film policy became a new identity of Uttarakhand
Chief Minister Shri Dhami informed that the state government has recently implemented “Uttarakhand New Film Policy”. Its objective is to promote film production in the state, encourage tourism and provide employment opportunities to local youth. He said that under the new policy, filmmakers are being provided facilities like subsidy, tax exemption and logistic cooperation. It is not only becoming a center of attraction for the film industry, but is also becoming a strong medium of branding and economic development of the state.

Local artists and rural locations promote
The Chief Minister also said that in order to promote filmmaking in Uttarakhand, the government is giving additional 5 percent subsidy for shooting on less popular locations. At the same time, special incentives are also being given to films giving opportunity to local artists of the state. He said that every year a new record of shooting of films is being made in Uttarakhand, which reflects the success of this policy. The government aims that Uttarakhand soon became a major film production hub in the country.
The entire team of the film was present at the ceremony
The entire team including Additional Secretary Shri Banshidhar Tiwari, producer, director and actors of the film were present on the occasion. Through ‘Bahalya Kaka’, the ground stories of Uttarakhand will reach the audience across the country – the program ended with this expectation.
