New Delhi: Bajaj Auto has started the year by adding a new electric scooter to its Chetak range, called the Chetak C25. This new model comes with some design changes, updated features and new hardware. It has been launched at a starting price of Rs 91,399 (ex-showroom).
The Bajaj Chetak C25 gets a refreshed look while keeping its familiar retro styling. At the front, it now features a redesigned horseshoe-shaped LED DRL along with a new multi-beam LED headlamp. The rear has also been updated with a multi-LED tail lamp that uses an ice-cube-style layout.

Bajaj has added a grab rail for the pillion rider, and the seat is 650 mm long, which should be comfortable for two people. In terms of practicality, the scooter offers 25 litres of under-seat storage, which is enough for daily use items. There is also a small storage space at the front for keeping smaller objects. The rear fender gets new graphics, while several plastic panels around the scooter feature Bajaj’s signature parametric design pattern, seen on the front panels, floorboard and grab rail.
Inside the cockpit, the Chetak C25 comes with a colour LCD display that shows riding information. The scooter also has control knobs placed on both sides of the handlebars, allowing riders to scroll through different functions easily.

For braking and ride comfort, the Chetak C25 gets a front disc brake and telescopic front suspension. It can climb inclines of up to 19 degrees and also comes with a hill-hold assist feature, which can be useful in traffic or on slopes.
Apart from the price, battery capacity and range, Bajaj has not shared more technical details yet. The company has confirmed that the scooter will be available in six colour options, and more variants are expected to be introduced at a later stage.
