Bajaj Auto reported a steady rise in sales for September 2025, driven largely by a strong performance in exports. The company sold a total of 5,10,504 units during the month, up 9 per cent from 4,69,531 units in September 2024. Domestic sales contributed 3,25,252 units, a 4 per cent increase from 3,11,887 units a year ago.
Exports saw a sharper rise, climbing 18 per cent to 1,85,252 units compared to 1,57,644 units in the same month last year.
Two-wheelers continued to form the bulk of Bajaj Auto’s business. The company sold 4,30,853 two-wheelers in September, marking an 8 per cent growth over 4,00,489 units in September 2024. Domestic two-wheeler sales reached 2,73,188 units, up 5 per cent from 2,59,333 units. Exports in this category grew 12 per cent to 1,57,665 units, against 1,41,156 units a year earlier.
The commercial vehicle segment posted stronger growth. Bajaj Auto sold 79,651 units in September, a 15 per cent increase from 69,042 units in the year-ago period. Domestic sales in this segment held steady at 52,064 units compared to 52,554 units last year, while exports surged 67 per cent to 27,587 units from 16,488 units. For the April-September 2025 period, Bajaj Auto recorded total sales of 24,05,357 units, reflecting a 4 per cent rise over 23,23,560 units in the same six months of 2024.
Two-wheeler sales during the first half of the fiscal year stood at 20,17,778 units, slightly higher than 19,84,125 units a year earlier. However, the mix shifted notably between domestic and export markets. Domestic two-wheeler sales fell 8 per cent to 11,25,920 units from 12,19,928 units last year, while exports rose 17 per cent to 8,91,858 units against 7,64,827 units.
Commercial vehicle sales between April and September grew at a faster pace, reaching 3,87,579 units, up 14 per cent from 3,39,435 units in the same period last year. Domestic commercial vehicle sales were largely flat at 2,49,681 units compared to 2,48,034 units in 2024. Exports, on the other hand, advanced strongly, jumping 51 per cent to 1,37,898 units from 91,401 units.
