Baikunthpur assembly election, 2015
- In 2015 this seat went to BJP.
- Mithilesh Tiwari (BJP): 56,162 votes
- Manjeet Kumar Singh (JDU): 42,047 votes
- Margin of victory: 14,115 votes
Important thing: This election shows that BJP was strong in Baikunthpur, but RJD was not on the backfoot.
Baikunthpur assembly election, 2010
- In 2010, JDU’s Manjeet Kumar Singh won from this seat.
- Manjeet Kumar Singh (JDU): 70,105 votes
- Devdutt Prasad (RJD): 33,581 votes
- Margin of victory: 36,524 votes
Important thing: This election was a big victory for JDU, but in the next years the equations changed rapidly.
