Young Indian shuttler Rounak Chouhan defeated World No.6 and top seed Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in straight games at the US Open here.
The 18-year-old Indian, ranked 80th in the world, downed Chen 21-17, 26-24 on Thursday. He will face Misha Zilberman of Israel in the quarter-finals.
Interestingly, Chouhan was also part of India’s bronze medal-winning world junior team.
