Himesh Reshammiya made waves at the Indian box office with his 2025 film Badass Ravi Kumar, directed by Keith Gomes. Now recently, in an interview, Gomes has revealed that the film is in talks for the OTT release and every streaming platform is fighting to get the online rights.
For the unversed, the film is the second installment in The Xposé Universe, with Himesh Reshammiya reprising his role as Ravi Kumar, while Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari, Simona J, Saurabh Sachdeva, Sanjay Mishra, and Johnny Lever appear in supporting roles.
Keith Gomes on Badass Ravi Kumar’s OTT release
During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, director Keith Gomes mentioned, “I am just a director and Himesh’s friend. That’s a question for the producer because he knows the best. I have not even asked him this question. I trust his decision. He knows the business better than anybody else. But, like you, I have also read in the newspaper article that there has been a conversation about IP and stuff like that. So, I think those negotiations are going on.”
He further added, “I know for a fact that every OTT wants to pick up this film because the whole country wants to watch this film. So, that’s a question only Himesh can answer. He is the producer; it’s his baby. Whatever decision he makes, I just back him on it. He has lived this film.”
Himesh Reshammiya talks about film’s sequel
Earlier, in an exclusive interview, Himesh became candid on audience’s demand for the film’s sequel saying, “Xpose world ke characters bann rahe hai. Several characters from the film will continue; many will be added. Ravi Kumar ke saath, ek bahut interesting character jo maine hi design kiya hai-Vijay Kumar from Vijayawada. This is a very new character who is also going to be introduced in the world of Xpose. There are lots of things that are connecting, but yes, the Xpose world now goes into the 90s.”
