Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s highly-anticipated film Battle of Galwan, based on the 2020 conflict between Indian and Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley, has seen an unexpected roadblock in its shooting schedule.

According to recent reports, the Mumbai shoot, initially planned for this month, got postponed as the sets constructed at Mehboob studio at Bandra are now being dismantled.

Shoot of Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan postponed

An insider spoke to Mid-Day and shared that the shooting is now scheduled to resume in Ladakh from August 22 to September 3, majorly focusing on the action sequences. Previous reports claimed that the makers have planned a large-scale war sequence to be shot against the dramatic landscape of Ladakh.

As per sources, since Salman has donned a unique avatar for the film, shooting with a 30-day gap between locations would disrupt the continuity. “Apoorva (Lakhia) felt that the sequences would need to be shot in succession. So, for now, the film’s Mumbai schedule is postponed indefinitely. They will take a call in the last leg whether a song sequence or patch work needs to be done in the city,” the report stated.
