Mouth Bacteria Can Cause Heart Attack: Heart diseases are increasing rapidly and the cases of heart attack are increasing every year. Heart attack often occurs sudden and there can be many reasons, such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity, stress and unhealthy lifestyle. People believe that heart attack occurs only in adults or elderly, but now people of all ages can fall prey to it. However, a study has recently surfaced, in which it has been revealed that bacteria present in your mouth can also cause heart attack. This research shows that it is important not only to the heart and its nerves, but also to clean the mouth and also on health. Let’s know about this.
Research team of Tampere University of Finland Analysis of plaque of more than 200 coronary arteries disease patients. Plaque is a kind of deposition or fat, which can accumulate in the heart of the heart and cause blockage and causes heart attack. In such a situation, it was found in the study that DNA of mouth bacteria was present in the plaque, which included the bacteria of Viridans Streptococci Group. These bacteria usually live in the mouth, but accumulate inside the plaque and make a layer i.e. biofilm. This layer is not easily destroyed by the body’s immune system and continues to cause inflammation. When there is excess stress or infection on the body, these bacteria can weaken the heart wall of the heart. This can burst the plaque and there may be a heart attack when there is a blockage in the blood flow. This study makes it clear that mouth cleaning and health are directly related to heart protection.
Heart protection by cleaning mouth
Mouth cleaning is not only limited to the care of teeth and gums, but it also affects the risk of heart attack. Research found that people who use brush, floss and mouthwash daily have less harmful bacteria in their mouths. This also reduces the risk of making plaque in the veins of the heart.
Experts say that if the mouth is not cleaned properly, then bacteria gather in the veins of the heart and make biofilm in the form of plaque. This biofilm causes inflammation, which weakens the heart veins and suddenly can burst the plaque, which increases the risk of heart attack. In such a situation, dental checkup, brushing and flossing are very important from time to time.
