New Delhi: Baba Ramdev shared a video on his social media, recommending three yoga asanas that would energise an individual’s body. In the present fast-paced life, between office and household responsibilities, individuals find it difficult to do a little physical activity.
Less physical activity leads to stress at work and responsibility, which has a negative impact on health. In between, yoga stands out as the best option to do exercises without any equipment.
There are numerous benefits of regular yoga, as it keeps our body active and flexible, including improving balance, increasing energy, and being beneficial for mental health. Baba Ramdev is the frontline promoter of yoga in India and shared a video on his social media by captioning the post as “How to get the strength of Hanumanji?” and recommended three asanas to keep the body in shape.
Hanuman Asana
Patanjali founder Baba Ramdev described the Hanuman Asana as the easiest one. In this asana, an individual has to place one foot forward and one foot backwards, resting on both hands, and slowly bending the waist and neck backwards. This will improve the flexibility in the waist and hips, and also help in maintaining balance on the feet and hands.
Hanuman Dandasana
To perform the Hanuman Dandasana, an individual has to lie on his/her stomach and place both hands under their shoulders. The legs have to be straight, and the toes will be flat on the ground. Then, by using your hands, lift the chest and body off the ground. Slide your right leg forward and your left leg back. Spread both legs as wide as possible, keeping your waist straight and your gaze fixed forward.
Balance yourself on the ground with your hands. Pull your stomach in. Slowly return your body to its normal position. Then repeat this process.
Bhujangasana
To perform Bhujangasana, first lie on your stomach on a yoga mat. Keep both legs straight and your toes pointing back. Place your palms on the ground near your shoulders. Now, lift your chest and abdomen upward as if you are looking up at the sky, keeping the area up to your navel flat on the ground.
Ensure your elbows remain half bent; do not extend them outward. Keep your shoulders away from your ears. Hold this position for a few seconds and then return to your original position. However, remember to perform yoga asanas based on your body’s capabilities. It’s also more beneficial to perform yoga asanas under the supervision of a yoga expert.
