Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are set to take audiences into the quirky world of their upcoming film Udta Teer with the release of its latest track, ‘Bhootni Ka’. After building anticipation with the film’s gripping trailer, the makers have now kicked off its musical journey with the energetic song.
Composed by Sachin-Jigar, ‘Bhootni Ka’ features lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and vocals by Kaka, Twinkle Agrrwal and Bhattacharya.
Speaking about the track, composer duo Sachin-Jigar said the song was enjoyable to create, particularly because of the unexpected turns in Bhattacharya’s lyrics. They said the challenge was to complement the unpredictable writing with music that remained catchy.
The composers explained that they experimented with the pace, sounds and arrangement to give the song a sense of constant movement and surprise. While describing it as a fun composition, they noted that striking the right balance between its different elements required considerable effort.
Singer Kaka said the lyrics sparked his curiosity about the film’s storyline. He was intrigued by the song’s energetic, humorous and unusual sound, and wondered how it connected to the events in the film.
Kaka shared that his curiosity only grew after watching the teaser, as the characters and situations raised further questions. Despite recording the song and watching the teaser, he said he was still eager to discover the story and was now looking forward to watching the film.
Twinkle Agrrwal also described ‘Bhootni Ka’ as an enjoyable recording experience, noting that the song’s lyrics required her to maintain high energy while ensuring that every word was clearly delivered.
She praised Kaka’s energy during the recording process and said she enjoyed matching it. According to Twinkle, the song has an upbeat quality that puts singers in a good mood.
Udta Teer, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 9, 2026.
