Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, “Ye Prem Mol Liya.” The actor recently expressed his disbelief at becoming a hero for Rajshri Productions, a milestone he has long dreamed of achieving.
During the launch of the film’s title track, Khurrana revealed that his love for Hindi cinema began with the 1994 classic “Hum Aapke Hain Koun.” He recalled being deeply moved by the film and the portrayal of family values within it.
Khurrana stated, “I remember watching ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ and being captivated by the many families depicted in it. That film made me fall in love with romance, Hindi cinema, and the strength of our families.”
Discussing his connection with Rajshri Productions, he emphasized that this bond extends beyond himself and resonates with families across India. “My relationship with Rajshri is not just mine; it belongs to all of India, to every family. Their commitment to uniting families through cinema is truly beautiful,” he remarked.
He also shared a fond memory involving director Sooraj Barjatya, noting how the filmmaker would remove his shoes before entering Khurrana’s vanity van. “I would tell him, ‘Sir, please don’t take off your shoes, just come in.’ But he never listened. He would come in barefoot, and I would touch his feet while he would say, ‘Ayushmann, bhav,’ and then explain the scenes to me. This isn’t just a childhood dream; it deserves applause for Rajshri and their legacy.”
“Ye Prem Mol Liya” is a family-oriented romantic drama that marks the first on-screen collaboration between Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari Wagh. The film also stars Anupam Kher in a prominent role.
