This new AYUSH policy, to be implemented from the year 2026, is promising to bring comprehensive changes in the state on all four fronts – health services, investment, infrastructure and employment.

New AYUSH policy will attract investors

According to the information released in Lucknow, Yogi government is going to provide many special facilities to give impetus to the AYUSH industry. The new policy includes: Capital subsidy, exemption in stamp duty on land purchase, special concession on green field projects, strong institutional framework for AYUSH research. Let us tell you that the aim of the government is to create such a system for testing, research and production of AYUSH medicines, which can establish Uttar Pradesh as an AYUSH research hub in the coming years.

According to Principal Secretary AYUSH Ranjan Kumar, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wants Uttar Pradesh to take not national but global leadership in the AYUSH sector. Keeping this in mind, special focus has been placed in the policy on traditional methods like Panchakarma, Naturopathy, Yoga and Wellness Centre.

Main provisions included in the new policy:

Under this, new employment opportunities will also be created for the youth of the state.

The government is preparing to adopt the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model on a large scale in expanding AYUSH health services. With this, big hospitals, research labs, training centers and wellness hubs will be developed. This step will create a balanced mix of both modernity and tradition in the state.

According to Ranjan Kumar, Principal Secretary, AYUSH Department, the aim of the new policy is not just to build hospitals or attract investors. Through the new policy, Uttar Pradesh will be made an AYUSH Wellness Hub, so that people from across the country and the world get attracted here for treatment and research.
