Yogi Adityanath government is preparing to bring such a policy, which will not only give a new identity to Uttar Pradesh in the AYUSH sector, but will also prove to be a big step towards establishing traditional medical systems at the global level. This new AYUSH policy, to be implemented from the year 2026, is promising to bring comprehensive changes in the state on all four fronts – health services, investment, infrastructure and employment.
New AYUSH policy will attract investors
According to the information released in Lucknow, Yogi government is going to provide many special facilities to give impetus to the AYUSH industry. The new policy includes: Capital subsidy, exemption in stamp duty on land purchase, special concession on green field projects, strong institutional framework for AYUSH research. Let us tell you that the aim of the government is to create such a system for testing, research and production of AYUSH medicines, which can establish Uttar Pradesh as an AYUSH research hub in the coming years.

Special focus on traditional medical practices
According to Principal Secretary AYUSH Ranjan Kumar, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wants Uttar Pradesh to take not national but global leadership in the AYUSH sector. Keeping this in mind, special focus has been placed in the policy on traditional methods like Panchakarma, Naturopathy, Yoga and Wellness Centre.
Main provisions included in the new policy:
- Promotion of Panchakarma and Naturopathy
- Establishment of Wellness Center
- Strong infrastructure to AYUSH hospitals
- New Courses: Ayurveda, Yoga, Homeopathy
Under this, new employment opportunities will also be created for the youth of the state.
Ayush infrastructure will be strengthened through PPP mode
The government is preparing to adopt the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model on a large scale in expanding AYUSH health services. With this, big hospitals, research labs, training centers and wellness hubs will be developed. This step will create a balanced mix of both modernity and tradition in the state.

According to Ranjan Kumar, Principal Secretary, AYUSH Department, the aim of the new policy is not just to build hospitals or attract investors. The real objective is to provide easy and quality AYUSH medical facilities to every citizen, promotion of disease prevention based model in the state, scientific development of the properties of medicinal plants, increase in recruitment and training of AYUSH staff. Through the new policy, Uttar Pradesh will be made an AYUSH Wellness Hub, so that people from across the country and the world get attracted here for treatment and research.

The new AYUSH policy of the Yogi government will not only strengthen health services but will also put Uttar Pradesh on the global map of AYUSH industry. From this:
