People are becoming a victim of obesity in India. Obesity in outside countries has increased the problem since long, but now in India too, obesity victims are growing rapidly. The way fast-food from fried, oil, maida is becoming a part of life, it is dangerous somewhere. Apart from these, low physical activity and stress are also major causes of obesity. Obesity affects our personality, as well as many serious problems like diabetes, blood pressure, heart diseases. Could not take time to exercise to reduce obesity. Dr. RP Parashar, Ex -Chief Ayurvedic Officer in Delhi MCD, says that obesity in Ayurveda is called grossness, it means that the body is deposited in a unbalanced manner. According to Ayurveda, fat in the body is freezing when phlegm defects in the body increase and fire means digestive power.

On this, Ayurveda says that if you keep digestion right and control the phlegm, obesity can be controlled. Although obesity can be avoided through Ayurveda, it is not that there is a fat person and Ayurvedic medicines will be diluted in some time. The way of working of Ayurveda is different. It is not like allopathy. If there is some such medicine, you can control obesity.

Ayurvedic remedies to reduce obesity

Triphala Churna- Triphala is a mixture of three materials. Triphala is a mixture of Amla, Harad, Bahera. Drinking with lukewarm water at night slowly reduces fat. Triphala helps in improving digestion and reducing fat.

Guggal In Ayurveda, Guggal’s fat is considered to be a drug. Guggal intensifies metabolism and helps in reducing body fat.

Green tea- Green tea exits toxins from the body. Along with this, consuming herbal tea is beneficial to reduce fat.

Lemon-shared water- Mixing lemon and some honey with lukewarm water on an empty stomach in the morning, drinking metabolism is active. This mixture helps in weight loss.

Importance of catering and routine

Ayurveda says that the consumption of medicines and herbs is not beneficial to reduce obesity. Along with these, there will be benefit with changes in routine and change in catering.
