Ayodhya Varanasi High Speed Expressway: NHAI has started the tender process for the construction of Ayodhya-Varanasi Expressway. The 200 km long project will complete the distance of both pilgrimage cities in just 2 hours and religious tourism will be promoted.
The journey from Ram Nagari Ayodhya to Baba Vishwanath’s city Varanasi is going to be easier now. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has started the tender process of the Ayodhya-Varanasi HighSid Expressway. After the construction of this high speed expressway about 200 km long, the distance between the two pilgrimage can be completed in just two hours.
New route will be connected to Purvanchal Expressway
This proposed expressway will be connected to Purvanchal Expressway. With its formation, not only will the connectivity of Ayodhya and Delhi be stronger, but the passengers will get the experience of fast, safe and uninterrupted journey.

Religious tourism and business will get promotion
This project is very important for pilgrims coming to Ayodhya and Kashi. Now devotees will be able to easily reach both pilgrimage. This will give new pace to religious tourism and business activities will also increase rapidly.
Other major projects running in Ayodhya
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is already working on several ambitious projects in Ayodhya, including:
- 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg
- Ayodhya-Janakpur, Sultanpur and Jagdishpur Roads
- Ram Van Gaman Marg
- Overbridge and underpass on Lucknow highway
- Ayodhya bypass beautification at a cost of 55 crores
- Ring road project
In this sequence, the first phase of Ayodhya-Prayagraj Greenfield Sixlane Highway is also moving fast.
Ayodhya will become a major road connectivity center of North India
After the completion of these projects, Ayodhya will emerge as a major center of North India not only in religious points but also in terms of road connectivity and economic activities.
