Diwali Celebration Ayodhya: On the occasion of Deepotsav 2025 in Ayodhya, grand beautification of Ram Ki Paidi and Saryu Ghats will be done under the plans of Yogi government. The city will be decorated with audience gallery, amphitheater, umbrellas and modern facilities, becoming the spiritual capital of the world.
Ram’s city Ayodhya will shine not only with lights on this festival of lights, but also with the new glow of development. When innumerable lamps will be lit, not only the light of devotion will spread – from the banks of Saryu to Ram Ki Paidi, the light of the development works of the Yogi government will also be visible. Ayodhya is now moving towards becoming not just the land of faith but also the spiritual capital of the world equipped with modern facilities.
A confluence of devotion and beauty will sit on Ram’s pedestal.
Now during the festival of lights, devotees will get the wonderful experience of sitting on Ram ki Pauri and seeing the grand view. A 350 meter long spectator gallery has been constructed at a cost of Rs 2324.55 lakh, which can seat 18,000 to 20,000 people simultaneously. The selfie point with stone statues of Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Lakshman ji established here remains the center of devotees. Modern lighting system, boundary wall and tourist facilities have given it a global image.

New amphitheater and umbrellas will enhance the beauty of Ramnagari
Ram Ki Paidi is taking a more grand form with the project worth Rs 2367.61 lakh approved in the financial year 2024-25.
- Eight small amphitheaters are being built here, which will provide seating facilities to the spectators.
- Six stone chhatris, eight grand lamps and seven meter high pillars will grace the ghat. With all this, this place will emerge as a wonderful combination of modernity and tradition, which will attract tourists from India and abroad.
Renovation of Saryu Ghats will become a center of faith and tourism
The ghats of Saryu river, which is called the lifeline of Ayodhya, are being given a new look. Beautification and reconstruction work of ghats is going on at a cost of Rs 2346.11 lakh in an extension of about 2.5 kilometres.
- 32 stone chhatris and 11 huge pillars will be the center of attraction.
- Two cow worship places and 15 direction indicators are also being built.
- 60 interpretation walls and a VIP pavilion will further enliven the atmosphere of the ghat.
Now with modern lighting and cleanliness, the scene of Saryu Aarti will present a confluence of both devotion and spiritual grandeur.
Development work is a symbol of cultural renaissance
UPPCL Project Manager Manoj Sharma said that the development work being done in Ayodhya under the leadership of Yogi government is not just construction but a symbol of cultural renaissance. The beautification of Ram Ki Paidi and Saryu Ghats has not only enriched the religious environment but has also given a new direction to tourism. “Our objective is to complete these projects on time and with quality, so that devotees and tourists can experience the grandeur of Ayodhya,” he said.

District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram said that all the work is being done through UPPCL. If we believe him, Ayodhya is creating a new identity at the global level today. He said, “The beautification of Ram Ki Paidi and Saryu Ghats is an excellent example of conservation of our cultural heritage. These projects have boosted tourism and brought new energy to the local economy.”
