Ayodhya Deepotsav: In Sri Ram’s city Ayodhya, on October 19, 26.11 lakh lamps are set to make a world record. 32 thousand volunteers, Ramayana tableaux, laser shows and Sarayu Aarti will make this event a wonderful confluence of devotion and culture.
Deepotsav World Record 2025: Ayodhya, the holy city of Shri Ram, is ready to create history once again. This time the ninth Deepotsav, to be held on 19 October 2025 under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will give a wonderful message of faith and culture to the whole world with the shining of 26.11 lakh lamps. The 28 lakh lamps decorated in Rama’s Paidi and surrounding areas will burn together to convert Ayodhya into the ocean of devotion and light.

To make this huge event a success, the administration has prepared a team of 32,000 volunteers. They will take over the responsibility of decoration, ignition and system of lamps. The special thing is that mustard oil and environment friendly materials will be used keeping in mind the environmental protection.

On behalf of the Information Department, 11 grand tableaux will be taken out from Saket College to Ramkatha Park. These tableaux will present the major episodes of Ramayana in a lively form with modern technology. This scene will connect devotees and tourists to the mythological and cultural grandeur of Ayodhya.

Laser show and green fireworks view
Laser light shows and green fireworks will be special attractions in Ayodhya on the evening of 19 October amid countless lights of lamps. Also, the atmosphere will become even more spiritual by staging collective Aarti and Ramlila on the Saryu coast. This time the administration has set a target to record the world record to Saryu Aarti.
Special arrangements on security and cleanliness
According to Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram, special attention will be paid to security and cleanliness during the Deepotsav. For this, CCTV cameras, drone monitoring, police force and medical teams will be deployed. Also, special cleanliness drive is being carried out at Ram’s Paidi and major sites of the city.
The glorious tradition of Deepotsav
The Ayodhya Deepotsav started in 2017 with 1.71 lakh lamps. In 2023, this number reached 22.23 lakhs and 25 lakhs in 2024. Now in 2025, the target of 26.11 lakh lamps will not only be a new world record, but will also give a new identity to India’s cultural heritage on the global stage.
