Awarapan 2 producer Vishesh Bhatt is currently on cloud nine, as the Emraan Hashmi starrer has been doing exceedingly well at the box office since its release on August 14, 2026. The Independence Day week is working in favour of Awarapan 2. The romantic thriller has earned Rs 55 crore in the first two days. Before the film release, Awarapan 2 producer Vishesh Bhatt had an exclusive interaction with Zoom, where he revealed that the Emraan Hashmi starrer is not a cash grab film. He also confessed that nobody came to buy the film.
Awarapan 2 Is Not Cash Grab Film, Says Vishesh Bhatt
During a candid chat with us, said that if people want to watch a film like Awarapan, they will have to shower that much love on it. He said, “If you want to watch films like Awarapan, you will have to support it in cinemas. Otherwise, how would I know that you are interested in that? If I know, I will put in my hard-earned money to cash-grab it.”
Bhatt also revealed that is not a cash grab film. For the unversed, the film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 45 crore. While revealing how nobody was ready to buy the film, the producer said, “Let me tell you, Awarapan 2 is not a cash-grab film. Nothing is there; there is part one that will take you to part two. If it was a cash grab, distributors would have shown interest in it, and I would have been sitting on table profit today. Nobody in the market came to buy the film. We put our own money into it. Yes, the market did wake up when the film was ready. If audiences show love for films like these, Awarapan kind of films can be made.”

Plans For Jannat 3
After Awarapan 2, Vishesh Bhatt is planning to make Jannat 3. He said, “I am definitely planning to make Jannat 3 with . Currently, the work on the script is going on, and we are hoping to lock it soon. I hope the Awarapan fans give a lot of love to Awarapan 2. Both the films are from the same world.”
Coming back to Awarapan 2, the film has been directed by Nitin Kakkar. It also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar, Puran Gabbi and others in key roles. It has been written by Bilal Siddiqui, and the music has been composed by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Jeet Gannguli, Akhil Sachdeva and Wasif Ahmad.
