Emraan Hashmi brought back a wave of nostalgia with Awarapan 2. The Bollywood actor returned as Shivam Pandit in the sequel to his 2007 film Awarapan. Interestingly, the romantic thriller surpassed the lifetime collection of the first installment on day one itself. It registered a box office opening of Rs 21 crore. Despite clashing with Batwara 1947 and Vishwanath & Sons, the movie has performed well at the ticket window. While Awarapan 2 is currently running in cinemas, it will eventually land on streaming. Awarapan 2 OTT Release
According to India TV, will stream on Amazon Prime Video after the film wrap its cinematic run. The report suggested that the movie’s streaming platform was confirmed during its release. But an official announcement is awaited from the makers. A Bollywood movie generally lands on streaming after 45 to 60 days of its theatrical release.

Talking about Emraan and Disha’s film, the movie collected Rs 21 crore, according to Sacnilk, on day one from 9,033 shows. On the other hand, it made Rs 27.20 crore at the worldwide box office.
Earlier, while speaking to SCREEN, Emraan had clarified that he wasn’t doing Awarapan 2 for nostalgia. “This film was being planned for the past seven years. We just happened to stumble upon a script. We were holding off a sequel, but when we read a script which was taking Shivam’s journey ahead, we got to it. It’s not cashing it,” he had said.
Awarapan 2 Cast Fees, Plot And More
As per media reports, Emraan was paid Rs 10 crore to Rs 12 crore for his role in the second installment of Awarapan. Disha Patani, on the other hand, is rumoured to have earned Rs 5 crore for her portrayal. Shabana Azmi, who also has an integral role in the project, apparently between Rs 2 crore and Rs 5 crore. While the first part was directed by Mohit Suri, Nitin Kakkar came on board to direct Awarapan 2.
As far as the film’s is concerned, it follows Shivam Pandit’s return to the crime world, where his path demands redemption, love and sacrifice.
