What are the ingredients required?
For paratha you need 2 cups wheat flour, 1 medium sized avocado, 1 cup winter green vegetables like fenugreek, spinach and bathua, 1 finely chopped green chilli (optional). Black pepper one fourth teaspoon, cumin powder half teaspoon. Salt as per taste, desi ghee or olive oil (these are healthy options of oil, you can also choose the oil as per your convenience). Apart from this, you will need one teaspoon lemon juice (this is also optional). Now know the recipe.
How to make Avocado Paratha?
- First of all, add flour, salt, cumin powder, black pepper and finely chopped green vegetables in a big bowl.
- Add water little by little to the flour and knead it softly and cover it and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Now peel the avocado and mash it. Add lemon juice to it (optional). In this way your stuff will be ready.
- Divide the kneaded dough into four equal parts, make a ball out of it, spread it with hands, add avocado stuffing in it and seal it well.
- Now apply dry flour on the dough and then roll the paratha gently so that it does not tear.
- Put the paratha on hot tawa and apply little oil or ghee and cook on low flame till it becomes crisp.
- You have to prepare all the parathas one by one in this manner, which will hardly take 15 to 20 minutes.
- You can serve avocado paratha hot. Serve curd or mint chutney along with it.
