Avika Gor to Celebrate First Karwa Chauth With Husband Milind Chandwani in Bangkok

Actress Avika Gor is preparing to celebrate her first Karwa Chauth after marrying Milind Chandwani, with the couple set to mark the occasion in Bangkok.

The Balika Vadhu actress said festivals hold a special place in her life because they bring together emotions, traditions, dressing up and quality time with loved ones. Speaking about her plans, Avika described Karwa Chauth as an occasion to celebrate love and togetherness.

“For me, festivals are all about the emotions, the traditions, and, of course, dressing up! Karwa Chauth is such a beautiful occasion to celebrate love and togetherness,” she said, adding that celebrating in Bangkok would make this year’s festival particularly special.

For Avika, the significance of the occasion goes beyond its rituals. She believes it offers couples an opportunity to pause amid their busy schedules and appreciate the person they share their lives with.

Reflecting on commitment, the actress said it is built through everyday gestures, mutual support, friendship and choosing to stand by each other rather than relying on grand declarations of love.

Avika also spoke about the relevance of traditional festivals for younger generations, saying cultural practices can evolve without losing their meaning.

“I think it’s super important, but in a way that feels authentic to you!” she said, adding that young people can experiment with their lifestyles while remaining connected to their cultural roots.

She believes traditions can be adapted to suit modern lives, whether through ethnic clothing, family celebrations or learning about the stories behind festivals. Being modern and independent, she said, does not have to come at the cost of staying rooted in one’s culture.

Avika and Milind tied the knot on September 30, 2025, in a ceremony attended by family members and close friends.
