Authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. This brought relief to both officials and commuters who were travelling along the route at the time of the incident.
Vehicles trapped under snow
The avalanche buried several passenger vehicles, raising concerns about the safety of those on the road. Officials said teams quickly assessed the situation after receiving alerts about the incident.
Officials said all passengers remained safe despite the sudden avalanche. The absence of injuries or deaths helped avoid a major tragedy in the high-altitude region.
Road blocked, operations underway
Officials said the road remains blocked after the avalanche. Rescue and clearance teams have started work to remove snow and debris from the site. Efforts are underway to restore traffic movement as soon as possible.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, and further details are awaited.
