New Delhi: Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi welcomed Pauline Richards MP (@paulinerichardsmp) from Melbourne, Australia (representing Cranbourne), during her official visit to India on 1 June. She is the Government Whip in the Legislative Assembly of the Parliament of Victoria.
Richards was warmly received by a senior volunteer. She explored the temple’s detailed architecture, performed abhishek of Shri Neelkanth Varni, and learned about Indian culture through the Hall of Values and the cultural boat ride.
In the guest book, she wrote: “I am so blessed to experience the hospitality of BAPS. On behalf of my constituents, thank you for your altruism, generosity, and aspirations for peace. This temple is a beautiful symbol of faith, hope, and universal kindness.”
The temple said, “We remain grateful for her visit and for the growing bonds between Australia and India through shared values of peace, harmony, and cultural understanding.”
