Australian MP Lee Tarlamis visits Delhi’s Akshardham, calls it a ‘deeply spiritual experience’

New Delhi: Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi was privileged to host Lee Tarlamis OAM MP from Melbourne, Australia (representing the South-Eastern Metropolitan Region), who serves as Government Whip in the Legislative Council at the Parliament of Victoria, during his official visit to India on 1 June 2025.

Tarlamis was traditionally welcomed by Gnanmunidas Swami, explored the mandir’s intricate architecture, performed abhishek of Shri Neelkanth Varni, and experienced the profound messages of Indian culture through the Hall of Values and the cultural boat ride.

In the guest book, he shared: “Thank you for a deeply spiritual and meaningful experience, which helped us better understand the true values that can unite humanity. This adds to the honour I had of meeting His Holiness and visiting the Akshardham in Gujarat.”

The temple said, “We remain grateful for his visit and for the growing bonds between Australia and India through shared values of peace, harmony and cultural understanding.”
