August 9 will be a public holiday on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. Due to this sacred festival of siblings, all schools, colleges, government offices and banks of Uttar Pradesh will remain closed. The next day, that is, on August 10, is Sunday, which will give people relief for two consecutive days.
14 to 17 August: Long series of festivals
If you are thinking that this is all, then wait. The holiday is declared again on 14 August due to Chehallum. The next day is Independence Day on 15 August, a national holiday.
